Just finished listening to "Operator #5 - #12 - The Army Of The Dead" released by Radio Archives. Perhaps one of the most intriguing things about the fictional pulp-era adventures of Jimmy Christopher, Operator #5, is that the central themes explored in each adventure are becoming relevant social issues today - especially since people are living longer and advances are being made in reversing aging and preserving the unique conscious of each human being. The Master of Death is building a widespread national cult with his ability to bring the dead back to life. What is perhaps most notable in this outing, is that for the first time in the series, Jimmy Christopher reveals his identity to a civilian. The Master of Death is a masterful manipulator who artfully blends people's natural fear of dying with the quasi-promise of immortality under the guise of a mystical scientific religion that he is the demi-god over. Highly Recommended! Five Stars!
