From Radio, Las Vegas to Hollywood Films.....

Michael Shayne's popularity was not only due to the well written stories, eerie New Orleans locale, but primarily due to its' talented Star, Jeff Chandler. The reference to "Radio Faces" did not apply to Jeff Chandler. Playing a red-haired Irishman would have never worked for him in the movies, but it did work on Radio. Hollywood knew they had someone who would become one of its' most popular film Stars of the 1950's. He had one of the most recognizable faces and voices in Hollywood. Jeff Chandler's later Hollywood success, prior to his untimely death in 1961, has given him a permanent place in the Roster of the great Hollywood Stars. The Radio Archives Staff have produced this unique Radio Detective Show in amazing clarity with full High Fidelity. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

The New Adventures of Michael Shayne is an outstanding presentation. The sound recordings are magnificent! The original music is awesome. I am so glad I have both volumes in my collection. You've done an outstanding job for the preservation of our great American Radio History.
