Radio Archives Pulp Classics
Scotland Yard International Detective Stories eBook
August 1931

Total Pulp Experience. These exciting pulp adventures have been beautifully reformatted for easy reading as an eBook and features every story, every editorial, and every column of the original pulp magazine.

Men of stern action travel the world fighting the scourge of crime, that typified the adventure found within the thrilling pages of Scotland Yard magazine. Also known as Scotland Yard Detective Stories and simply Scotland Yard, the magazine offered a dozen or so stories that took place in various exotic locales. The names of the authors were not listed, instead credits were given to "A Newspaperman," or "An Ex-Secretary" or "A County Coroner" or "A British Official." This was because all the stories were allegedly true. But actually, the stories were all fiction, cheaply purchased British pulp stores that were rewritten for American audiences. The result, however, was surprisingly entertaining, visiting crime around the world. The magazine made its debut in March 1930 and lasted for fourteen issues until August of 1931. Scotland Yard International Detective Stories returns in these vintage pulp tales, reissued for today’s readers in electronic format.
