Why Not a TV Special?	May 20, 2022

After purchasing the Cinnamon Bear series, I am left to wonder why it has never been animated for a TV children's Christmas special. I am 64 year old senior and grew up looking forward every Christmas season to listening to it. It was the highlight of the Season for me. It seems to me that with all of the Baby Boomers out there right now with all of their grandchildren that this would be the perfect time to have it produced for TV. If it were also made available on CDs, I would bet that it would quickly become another Christmas classic collectable to be watched by thousands of younger children along with us Baby Boomers. The time is perfect for marketing this to a new audience.

I Am Astonished	May 20, 2022

I just wanted to let you know that I am astonished at how clear your Cinnamon Bear set is. When my kids were pre-schoolers (a long time ago!) we got the cassettes out of the Schaumburg, Illinois library and I introduced my kids to the great old days of radio! But there is no comparison between those cassettes and the CDs which I recently received from you. Absolutely incredible sound! (Oh, by the way, I received the order in a couple of days also. Also incredible!) One other thing; I know that you're familiar with Chuck Schaden who has been doing his old time radio show in the Chicago area for 35 years or so. (As you mentioned in one your articles, he wrote the only book on the cinnamon bear.) A few years ago, our local access cable company ran one of his TV shows and he actually showed one of the TV episodes of the Cinnamon Bear when they converted the transcripts of the show into a television format. I think this was in the early to mid fifties. Oddly enough, the show didn't work. Frankly the puppet work was very poor and it just didn't compare to your own imagination when you listened to the show when it was on the radio.

As kid I listened to the Cinnamon Bear every afternoon on a radio station out of Crystal Lake, IL and when my Mom was a young girl she enjoyed listening to the Cinnamon Bear. It will bring back many memories once I get the set. Where I lived we had a Wieboldt's Department Store and that brought back many memories...especially at Christmas time.
