Gunsmoke on Radio	May 28, 2022

Volume II in the Archives Treasures series includes a 5 hour Documentary of Gunsmoke completed in the mid 1970's which extensively interviews all of the major Actors and writer John Meston including the Executive Staff connected with the creation of Gunsmoke. All of the major Actors are interviewed except Howard McNear, who had passed away by that time. If you enjoy the radio series of Gunsmoke, you will find this Documentary fascinating.The Radio Archives staff has done an exceptional job in the restoration of all the Gunsmoke programs and their listings thus far are quite extensive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

With all due respect to Suspense, Lux, Escape and other worthy candidates, Gunsmoke was arguably the finest dramatic series...in every respect... in the history of the radio. I've owned every GS program in circulation for many years. I have upgraded most of them several times. But these RA sets are the best sounding versions I've heard. And Volume 14 is a particular standout. Highly recommended!
