The Green Ghost Detective Audiobook
#9 Three Short Stories
by G.T. Fleming-Roberts
Read by Roger Price

Magic meets mystery as George Chance battles crime as the Green Ghost! Thrills, legerdemain, and suspense — all courtesy of the most extraordinary man-hunter the world has ever known!

Suspense and Magic Times Three! George Chance, master of magic and criminology, assumes the identity of the Green Ghost once more to tackle an amazing mystery of death and violence at an old mill in The Case of the Bachelor’s Bones. Then, in The Case of the Broken Broom, a cry from the depths of the grave calls George Chance into action — and one small, amazing clue supplies the key to a baffling jigsaw of murder mystery! Lastly, George Chance tackles the baffling “Hex” mystery of a prize-ring murder — and matches wits with a fiendishly ingenious killer in The Case of the Evil Eye.

G. T. Fleming-Roberts’ pulp career began in 1933. It would not end with the final Green Ghost story, either. With a series or two under his belt, including Secret Agent X and Diamondstone the Magician, Roberts would leave the adventures of George Chance and write characters such as The Black Hood, Dan Fowler, and possibly pulp’s strangest hero, Captain Zero. These series entries as well as his own short stories would see Roberts active as a Pulp writer into 1955, the final days of Pulp magazines. Instead of making the obvious move into paperbacks, Fleming-Roberts actually became a lecturer, making the circuit talking about what he knew best-writing. He also made a foray into politics, a path he followed until his death in 1968. Still, G. T. Fleming Roberts endearing legacy will be the pulp adventures of regular joe type heroes who use their finely honed skills to fight crime and seek justice, like The Green Ghost.

Three Short Stories of the Green Ghost Detective were originally published in the pages of The Green Ghost Detective magazine and are read with mysterious and magical force by Roger Price.
