Just completed listening and still out of breath, as usual, from these high speed tales of The Spider. the quality of relating the story fully involved me from commencement through to conclusion to such an extent that no interruptions are allowed to break into the race to its final words are spoken. Highly recommended.

Another Fantastic Adventure of The Spider!

Richard Wentworth as both himself and as The Spider must face off against another master of disguise - Monroe, a master arsonist who The Spider once went up before and failed to bring him to justice in France. Which makes this adventure of The Spider's a most curious one - Monroe is also a new type of villain in a Spider story, we learn a name, we know that he possibly has a hideous deformity due to either birth and/or an horrific accident and that he considers himself to be a phoenix - capable of being reborn each time. Yet, Monroe deliberately baits The Spider/Wentworth by kidnapping Nita by disguising as Ram Singh. We never learn Monroe's true identity. I'm not mistaken, I think that Nick Santa Maria greatly enjoyed imbibing in the role of Monroe because he gives this particular villain role a great gusto and flare. HIGHLY RECOMMEDED! FIVE STARS!
